Wyvern Wingman

Hop-A-Jet Worldwide Jet Charter is currently one of 85 private jet charter operators in the United States who have been accepted into the Wyvern Wingman Alliance—a prestigious group of elite jet charter companies.

As a partner in the Wyvern Wingman Alliance, you are assured Hop-A-Jet has met Wyvern’s enhanced air charter safety standards, which are significantly more stringent than the FAA requires. For example, aircrews must have nearly 4 times the experience mandated by the FAA—and all flight crews must undergo rigorous annual simulator training that’s not even required by the FAA.

Double-checked™ aircraft, too, live up to higher standards. While the FAA requires no formal manufacturer’s training for maintenance technicians, Wyvern does. What’s more, they require every maintenance department or service provider to institute a formalized safety program—complete with a safety committee—all of which is audited on an annual basis. Today, you’ll find less than 700 aircraft globally that meet the enhanced Wyvern standards.

Wyvern continues to endorse Hop-A-Jet Worldwide Jet Charter as a safe choice for private jet travel. Our Wyvern Wingman status was just renewed and is in force until December 31, 2023.

Wyvern Level 4 SMS Certificate

Hop-A-Jet Worldwide Jet Charter has achieved Level 4 SMS (Safety Management System)  performance! Level 4 indicates all 4 components of the SMS are operating effectively. Implementing, maintaining and continually improving a safety management system is not only an international requirement but also essential to professional operational risk management.

An SMS means an aircraft Operator to utilize a systematic approach to managing risk to continuously improve safety performance by identifying hazards, collecting data, analyzing information, assessing risk levels and mitigating threats to acceptable levels. With an effective SMS, aircraft Operators seek to proactively manage risks before they result in close calls, incidents or accidents.

An effective SMS allows an aircraft Operator to manage its activities efficiently and effectively while enhancing the total aviation system with integrative efforts among all stakeholders. Achieving Level 4 SMS demonstrates to the international aviation community a commitment to excellence because it confirms all required SMS processes are already in place. A major objective of a successful SMS is to attain and maintain this continuous improvement status for the life of the organization.
